Final Land Rover Defenders get Twisted

Land Rover Defender specialist, Twisted Automotive, has unveiled an impressive line-up of 16 ‘new’ examples, carefully stored since leaving the production line six years ago. The factory-fresh Defender 110s – each with fewer than 30 miles under its wheels – are now available to order, complete with a Twisted twist.

Customers have a choice of two upgraded engines: the 2.3-litre turbocharged petrol unit boosted to 308bhp and 350lb.ft of torque, or the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel pushing out 174bhp and 310lb. ft. The standard suspension is swapped for Twisted’s progressive system, incorporating dual-rate springs, custom damped shock absorbers and upgraded anti-roll bars, while the brakes are replaced with performance six-pot fronts and four-pot rear discs.

Biggest change externally are the Twisted Classic 18-inch alloy wheels (available in different colours), along with LED lighting, colour-coded mirrors and black sidestep tops. And inside there’s extra soundproofing, premium carpets, plus the customer’s choice of leather and stitch colour for the fully reupholstered seats. Apple CarPlay is included, along with DAB radio and reversing cameras. Build slots are open for delivery in 2023, with prices starting from £135,000 plus VAT. See twisted.co.uk for more details.
