2023 BMW M2 M Performance Parts G87 range
BMW has just announced its M Performance Parts range for the new G87 M2, allowing you to personalise your M car and add some serious flair, and the parts will be available alongside the M2’s launch in April 2023.
For the exterior, the range includes a carbon fibre front splitter and air intake trim, carbon side blades, side spats front and rear, as well as carbon mirror caps. At the rear, you can add a carbon boot lip spoiler, the aggressive carbon rear spoiler wing that you can see in the pictures, as well as a gloss black roof-edge spoiler. There’s also a carbon fibre diffuser plus extras like the M Performance tow strap and antenna cover in aramid.
One thing you can’t miss are the centrally-mounted quad tips of the M Performance silencer system. Its front pipes are made from stainless steel, while the rear silencer has an all-titanium construction. As a result, the exhaust system is some 8kg lighter than the standard item. The exhaust system is offered in combination with a specially modified M Performance rear diffuser in carbon fibre to accommodate the quad exhaust tips, and the tailpipe trim module is also made from titanium and has a ceramic coating. The system also offers a louder exhaust note than standard, while tailpipe trims in titanium/carbon fibre are also available.
On the chassis front, you can equip your M2 with the M Performance height-adjustable spring setup, which allows you to lower the car by up to 10mm. The M Performance forged wheels are not only lightweight, but also look very striking, measuring 20” up front and 21” at the rear, and can be ordered in either M Frozen Gold bronze or matt M Jet black. And what better for storing your additional wheel sets than the M Performance tyre bags, which feature the M tricolour logo, a graphic indicating the wheel position, and also have a reinforced handle for easy transportation. Moving to the cabin, there are M Performance trim panels in carbon fibre/Alcantara as well as Alcantara knee pads. The hand-crafted interior trim panels are made from openpore, matt-coated carbon fibre and come with M Performance badging in brushed aluminium. A matching M Performance armrest in Alcantara is also available for the centre console. On models equipped with M Sport seats, you can add carbon fibre/ Alcantara backrest covers, with head restraint trims available in a choice of open-pore or high-gloss carbon fibre and finished with an M Performance badge. The remainder of the rear panel for the driver’s and front passenger seats is trimmed in Alcantara.
The M Performance steering wheel Pro features a distinctly contoured grip area in Alcantara with large thumb rests and a special lining, while the rim’s upper section and slightly flattened lower section are wrapped in top-quality fulled leather. A centre marker and decorative stitching in the M colours add the finishing touches. M Performance steering wheel trims are also available and come in a choice of carbon fibre/Alcantara and carbon fibre/leather. Both variants can also be combined with the carbon M Performance shift paddles. M Performance door sill plates in carbon fibre add a touch of extra flair, and you can also add a set of velour floor mats with decorative stitching in contrasting colours and M Performance badging, as well as M Performance door pins with a coloured M logo and the M Performance carbon fibre fuel filler cap. Prices for all M2 M Performance parts will be announced nearer the car’s launch.
