Alfa-Romeo facelifts 2023 Giulia Type 952 & 2023 Stelvio Type 949
A mid-life facelift for the Giulia and Stelvio introduces new-look front and rear ends. The front grilles have a new finish, while new full-LED adaptive matrix headlights adopt the same ‘3+3’ light pattern as the new Tonale, offering adaptive, glare-free, high-beam technology and a ‘Welcome and Goodbye’ feature. The rear end also adopts LED lights, the new Stelvio with clear lenses, the Giulia with smoked lenses and a glossy black finish.
Inside is a new, fully-digital 12.3-inch TFT instrument screen, which – like the Tonale – can be configured as Evolved, Relax or Heritage. Optional Alfa Connect Services offer over-the-air updates and remote control door locking/unlocking, while a digital NFT token will certificate the car’s service record. The mechanical side is unchanged, although the 200hp petrol engine will be dropped from both Giulia and Stelvio ranges. The Giulia will be available solely with 280hp petrol power and rear-wheel drive, while the Stelvio has either 280hp petrol or 210hp diesel engines, plus all-wheel drive.
A new trim line-up follows the Tonale’s lead, with Sprint and Veloce trim levels, alongside a new range topping Competizione special series, which replaces the Estrema. This comes in matt grey paint and has active damping, red callipers, Harman/Kardon audio, leather dashboard and seats with red stitching, privacy glass and Competizione badging.
The new Giulia and Stelvio arrive in UK showrooms in Q1 2023 at prices still to be announced. Quadrifoglio models will have to wait until mid-2023 to be updated, as part of Alfa’s celebration of 100 years of Quadrifoglio.
