2024 Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato heads off road

Lamborghini has unveiled a new all-terrain Huracán called the Sterrato (literally ‘dirt road’). Off-road-themed features include 44mm higher ground clearance, long-travel suspension, wider track (30mm up front, 34mm at the rear), extra underbody protection, sill plates, carbonfibre bodywork extensions, integrated auxiliary lights, roof bars and a roof-mounted air intake. The latter is designed to allow cleaner air into the engine bay in dusty off-road environments.

The new intake system means that power from the 5.2-litre V10 engine falls from 640hp to 610hp, although torque is unchanged at 560Nm (413lb ft). The 0-62mph time is 0.2sec slower at 3.4sec. Because specific Bridgestone Dueller All-Terrain 002 run-flat tyres are fitted (235/40 R19 at the front, 285/40 R19 rear), top speed is limited to 160mph.

The Evo AWD donates its seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive system, but without rear-axle steering. The Sterrato adds a new ‘Rally’ driving mode designed to allow oversteer on loose surfaces thanks to reduced stability control intervention. Priced at €263,000 (£230,000) before tax, the Sterrato is limited to 1499 units, with production starting in February 2023. This will be the final variant of the pure V10 Huracán before a plug-in hybrid successor arrives in 2024.
