Abarth 500 Monza ’58 Restomod by Stellantis Heritage

Stellantis Heritage has built a new one-off ‘restomod’ 500: the Abarth Classiche 500 Record Monza ’58. Starting with a 1970 Fiat 500, it created the Monza ’58 as a tribute to the car that set speed records at Monza in 1958. Its green paint is the same as on the recent 695 70th Anniversario special edition. A more aerodynamic rigid roof replaces the usual soft-top, additional lights are fitted up front and the look is completed with special badges, including a unique ‘Record Monza’ one.

The interior has bare floors and uses the same fabric upholstery as the original 500 of 1957, while a single racing seat is fitted. Behind the wooden steering wheel is a Jaeger dashboard including a timepiece. The 595cc engine uses the Abarth Classiche’s 595 Tuning Kit, including an uprated camshaft, Weber 28 carb and Record Monza exhaust. The one-off is being offered for sale – interested parties are invited to email heritage@stellantis.com
