More people plugging into EV finance broker’s specialist service
Electric vehicle sales are surging, and it is reflected in a big rise in business for Credo Eco Finance. The independent finance broker is seeing serious growth in sourcing finance and enquiries as confidence grows as the country comes out of Covid restrictions.
Fran Brown, Credo marketing manager, said: “We have seen a big rise in enquiries and business because we specialise in financing electric vehicles, and green energy options, and know what we are talking about.”
Credo’s experience ties in with the latest new car figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. In the first six months of this year 73,893 pure battery electric vehicles were registered, 138% up on the 30,957 in the first half of 2020. Their share of the new car market grew from 4.7% to 8.1% year on year.
Fran said: “Covid has changed people’s lives, but now they are looking to make further changes for the better and one way is to switch to an electric car or van. The restrictions of the pandemic has given them lots of time to think about the future, and the future is clearly going to involve EVs.”
Customers have been choosing high-end, prestige models with Credo’s latest funding packages including a new Porsche Taycan, a used Tesla Model X and three new Tesla Model 3s for an electrical company.
“Selling three Teslas to an electrical company – they obviously know the way to go!”, said Fran.
The Tesla Model 3s needed to be financed on a tight schedule and the customer was pleased that Credo achieved the deadline. Credo, whose specialists can help with advice, as well as sourcing the best finance option, is preparing for its first electric pool car. It is also getting enquiries from companies looking to do the same.
“We have just had our electric car charger fitted outside our office, so we are also taking the plunge. It is very important that we are showing the way for businesses to switch to electric vehicles and sustainable and renewable energy options. We know it is the right thing to do.”
