VW ‘all-in’ offers fixed-price aftercare for used models

Volkswagen has launched a new aftercare plan called ‘All-in’, designed to support customers with vehicles aged between 36 and 72 months old. The package includes almost everything a driver will need to keep their car on the road, and costs around £800 upfront, or £33.35 per month over 24 months – around the same cost as a daily takeaway coffee.

Following a free eligibility check by a technician, All-in provides one major and one minor service, two annual MOT tests (including any necessary re-testing and remedial work), roadside assistance and a two-year warranty. The roadside assistance covers the car in the UK and Europe, and covers repatriation, alternative travel and hotel accommodation for the driver and up to seven passengers, if required.

Volkswagen has calculated that more than half-a-million vehicles in the UK are eligible for All-in, which ‘takes away the need to plan ahead for future servicing costs and enables customers to budget carefully using regular monthly payments.’ “Until All-in from Volkswagen, this kind of comprehensive support was not offered by a manufacturer. At Volkswagen, we’re incredibly proud of our cars, whether they’re brand new and showroom-fresh or well used and loved, and believe that all of our customers deserve the best support, even if their car is a few years old” said Andrew Savvas, Volkswagen UK director.

Not every Volkswagen is eligible, however, with electric vehicles and those with an engine above 2.0-litres in capacity excluded from All-in. The same goes for vehicles with more than 100,000 miles on the clock. Launching in Volkswagen Passenger Cars first, All-in is set to be offered by other Volkswagen Group UK brands within the coming months.
