Bond Jaguar at auction

As we went to press, a collection of memorabilia spanning 60 years of Bond films was heading for auction by Christie’s later this month and naturally there are some film cars included in the catalogue. In total seven cars and one motorbike are being offered for sale in the charity auction which will be conducted online by Christie’s on September 28.

All vehicles were featured in Bond’s most recent outing No Time to Die and among the Range Rovers and replica Aston Martins, there’s a lone Jaguar: the XF stunt car. One of a pair of XFs used in the production, the car was used to film the pre-credit scenes where the Jaguars pursue Daniel Craig and Léa Seydoux through Matera in Southern Italy. Based on the all-wheel drive 380bhp supercharged V6 model, the Eiger Grey left-hand drive stunt car was extensively modified by Jaguar SVO for its role in the film but is sold as a non-runner due to its non-standard nature and is also unregistered. Guide price is £50,000-£70,000 and you’ll find more details at www.christies.com.
