Interestingly, it was the penultimate pre-facelift UK-spec car to roll off the production line. Painted in Royal Blue Metallic with a Pearl Beige leather interior, it boasts factory-fitted air-conditioning, an electric sunroof, headlight washer system, electric seats, rear headrests, and a rear sunblind. Originally, the car was sold by Cheyne Motors Ltd to a motorsport enthusiast who enjoyed it until 1989, the next owner kept it for a full 21-years!

“I bought the M635 in December 2020, after nearly a year of research,” Richard explained. “As a child of the 80s who has lived in Munich and loves a powerful motor, a straight-six autobahn cruiser from Bavaria was the obvious choice. This stunner turned up on Horsepower Hangar, fresh from a decade in a private collection, with the perfect colour combination and less than 49,000-miles on the clock. I was instantly hooked, and treated myself to the most amazing Christmas present.”

The E24 6 Series arrived in great condition, needing only new TRX tyres (£500 per corner!) and the replacement of some perished rubber hoses. Richard tells us that the driving experience is taut, precise, and wonderfully analogue. The car has its own Instagram page (@bayern_express) so we urge you to check it out.
