BMW launches 2023 iX M60

BMW has revealed its third iX variant, the M60 is the most powerful iX yet with 619hp and a range of up to 357-miles.

The most powerful BMW iX yet has been revealed. The M60 is the flagship version of the new all-electric model, the third and most powerful yet, it produces 619hp and a staggering 811lb ft torque, while being capable of traveling 357-miles on a full charge according to the WLTP cycle. BMW says that this car embodies the best of its three 'worlds of BMW' – BMW i, BMW X and BMW M.

The performance figures certainly support the BMW M ethos, the iX M60 accelerates from 0-62mph in just 3.8-seconds, power delivery is said to be 'M- specific' with acceleration remaining constant up to the electronically limited maximum speed of 155mph. That's aided in part thanks to revised aerodynamics, the M60 has been optimised to achieve a lower drag coefficient (0.27Cd) so says BMW.

On top of the already impressive usual iX specification, the M60 gets 22-inch Air Performance Alloy wheels, Soft Close Doors, Laserlights and Parking Assistant Professional including the all-new Interior camera.

Inside customers get Suite Natural Leather Upholstery, Comfort Access, Heat Comfort Package, Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System, Ventilated Front Seats, Sun Protection Glass, four-zone air conditioning and Front Electric and Massage Seats.

Elsewhere the iX M60's brake callipers are painted in blue and feature an M logo, the BMW Individual Titanium Bronze Exterior Line and M logos in a new High Gloss Black/Titanium Bronze finish feature on the front side panels and the rear of the vehicle, while those aforementioned 22-inch wheels get a Titanium Bronze design – offered via an option programme exclusively on this variant.

The range-topping iX M60 will be priced from £111,905 OTR and is due for its UK launch in summer 2022.
