So with the new Midnight Purple look, the car deserved a set of NV Forged wheels, and we went with our brand new NVF-03C design, finished in the Champagne Brushed Gold. These are 2kg lighter per corner compared to the already ultralight BMW M wheels, and reducing unsprung mass is key to the agility of a heavyweight M car. We have maintained the OEM staggered setup with a slightly wider stance, opting for 19” at the front and 20” rears, maintaining all driveability and better grip.

All of the NV Forged wheels are made to order so we can produce any size, PCD and offset required. Just look at them! Breaking news! The ever-locked S58 engine ECU has now been cracked! Calibrating of all map data began with our Stage 1, targeting 580hp and 590lb ft which sends the car up the quarter-mile in 11-seconds flat and covers 100-200km/h in 6.4 seconds. This has taken a lot of dyno and road tuning to allow the stock downpipe and GPFs to work as OEM, making this car truly perform for its size. The ability to utilise the power band of the S58 and its chassis capabilities makes us feel like it should have come with this power out of the factory.

With the ability to modify the ECU software calibration, we pressed on with the development of intakes and downpipes. 3D-scanning all components and prototyping is time-consuming, but the end result is awesome. V1 intakes utilising our cotton panel filter and CFD modelling intake dams are currently 3D-printed in-house but will be available in carbon and Kevlar options. It allows for fresh air to get to the turbochargers without heat soak or restriction, giving +10hp and +7lb ft without any changes to the software. The catless downpipes are now ready following F1-grade heat shielding to reduce all engine bay temps and optimise gas flow. The car returned to Scorpion HQ for some free-flow mid-pipes allowing the S58 to expel all the hot air from the turbochargers quickly and efficiently. If magazines could play videos, you would love the sound it makes now! Now the boost is being turned up, but more on that in the next issue.
